What is a daddy - From a Facebook friend |
|
DADDY isn't defined as the man who makes the child, but rather the man who extends his hands and time to help with the child's raising and his heart to love the child through anything!!!! BLOOD doesn't always make you a DADDY. Being a DADDY comes from the heart... any fool can make a baby, it takes a man to raise a child!..

Sorry, I liked the sentiment. It seems very appropriate here.

Why does it 'seem appropriate' here? It resonates very well with me, so I suppose that makes sense. Why would it not be 'appropriate' elsewhere?

3. Because we have to hear gays can't be good parents... |
|
And how marriage is for the children and they're better off with a mother and father, not with people who love them.
You're correct, it is appropriate pretty much anywhere, but I shared it in the GLBT board because that's where my 'family' who loves me is.

4. Ah. I'm 'forum blind' sometimes. |
|
I see it on TGP, and I fail to pick up certain context.
It also didn't occur to me that either men or women, as any kind of a group, would be 'bad parents'. What's funny about being blind to things that shouldn't matter is that I'm often ridiculed for not caring as much as I should.
If anyone is such an idiot to say that two men, two women, or any other variation of loving parents shouldn't raise children, please... send them my way. They'll either come away enlightened or secretly hating themselves.
I'll happily provide an email if need be.
