A truely sad "True Life" from MTV the show is entitled "I want to be Straight"

It is very hard not to feel sorry for the two young people in this. I think the young woman will eventually find the courage to embrace herself but the guy I think is lost.

When all these "super supportive" people in his life leave him for dead the instant he "fails" and starts acting upon his orientation again (and he will).

I think the girl will ultimately be all right. She has moxy. But that boy, he's in for a life of rather severe pain. I know it's easy for many of us to hate someone like him, but all I could do while watching that was feel profound pity for the inevitable denouement of his so-called change.

My heart ached for both of them but I do think the girl will be OK. Even by the end of the episode she was back to women just women and men. The boy though, he has a bad case of what will these people think of me syndrome. He is in for a long, tough, haul.
