2. pay cuts

Here in Nevada, we are looking at a MINIMUM of 10% pay cut, massive layoffs and increased class size. Thank You Gov. Sandoval (R). Ironically, he is doing what he said he would do. People did not think he would go through with it. Republicans Love kids and higher education.

6. My district uses the Z.E.R.O model to show appreciation to teachers

Administrative assistants got flowers and were taken out for lunch on their day.

7. I'm a school nurse, and

I'm a permanent sub since a nurse left early. Our school celebrated with a catered luncheon from the high school culinary class. We also received goody baskets with cheap snacks, etc. Not bad, I guess. They haven't started issuing pink slips, yet. They did that at a neighboring district and some of the teachers whose contracts weren't being renewed left at the end of April for other jobs. (Tough shit!) I figure the pink slips will go out the last day of class.
