Senate investigates for profit college that has grown exponentially through online classes. 85% of their revenue comes from federal programs, and few of their "graduates" pay back the loans.

This Ashford crap breaks my heart as I had so many wonderful memories of the "Mount." They stole/bought our whole history and turned the place into a Potemkin Village.

This is a prime example of why the push for so much privatization is wrong. They want to privatize schools but are so willing to take money from Federal student grants and loans. These private schools are more of a business scam than an educational system with integrity. "Entrepreneurs" looking for a quick buck without providing anything of real value. That's the legacy of the 1980's.
