Do private schools have to abide by Title IX? |
So for example, if a private school wanted to spend all of their sports money on football, boys soccer, boys basketball and maybe only one (poorly funded) girls sports team, would it be allowed to do so?

1. Since they aren't getting Federal $$, I assume so, but Charters |
Charter schools would presumedly still fall under the same requirement for Title IX as public schools.

2. Well private school sports teams are generally well funded |
because, if your paying for a private school the parents basically tell the school what to do, so if a bunch of girls want to play a sport there is going to be a well funded team, but the parents usually pay out the nose for that team.

3. If they get ANY federal money, yes they do |
And that means grant money too. So if they have bought even one library book with federal money, they're obligated to abide by federal regs.
