3. I caught the end of the Addams Family retrospective

and apparently this is a special. They went from anti drug hysteria to wet dreams and now they're doing other "hygiene films."

I'd forgotten just how laughable that stuff was.

I do remember that some of them made me want to try all the drugs they said were so horrible.

And I did.

On edit, tobacco isn't addictive! Stopping smoking has NO bad effects!

5. They were shown in schools in "hygiene class,"

which is the hour they used when we didn't have PE to scare us off sex, drugs, sex, dating, sex, idleness, sex, and oh, did I mention, sex.

As hilarious as they were then, they have not aged well and are even sillier now.

The sad thing is that the country's drug policy is still based on them.
