1. Thank you, mad.
That last drive was excruciating to sit through. I thought OT. Three in a row against UM. Sisters? Anything?

2. Michigan got screwed
That was a touchdown on that last drive. Much more so than the TD on State's hail Mary in the Wisconsin game. Maybe we would have gotten the two point conversion, maybe not. But we should have had the opportunity.

Iowa played well; Michigan seemed out of sync for most of the game. We can't figure out why they keep trying that Gardner-Robinson roatation instead of letting Robinson do his thing. But, that aside, we got screwed on that last drive. Biased for Michigan or not, it was pretty evident that was a TD on the replay; the announcers thought so as well. I don't know how the refs missed it.

Sigh. Still rebuilding.

3. Not so fast. After watching the replay umpteen times
the receiver who made a hell of an attempted reception, never actually had possession. You could quite visibly see the ball slipping from his grip as he hit the ground and then smothered the ball.

Incompletion.

4. It was ruled out of bounds, not incomplete
From annarbor.com:

"Michigan receiver Junior Hemingway made a catch in the back of the end zone to set up a potentially game-tying two-point conversion attempt with less than 10 seconds left against Iowa.

The Wolverines never got that chance, though, as the officials — one of whom initially indicated touchdown, another incomplete pass — ruled Hemingway landed out of bounds. They reviewed the play in the booth, but did not overturn the call, despite replays indicating Hemingway indeed was in-bounds.

There was no doubt in Hemingway's mind where he landed.

"I caught that 1 no If ands or buts about it!!!!" he tweeted minutes after the game.

Even Iowa cornerback Micah Hyde, who was defending Hemingway on the play, seemingly agreed.

"I thought he made a good play, but the review says otherwise," Hyde said."

And then there was the pass interference no-call on the last play.

Screwed.

5. LOL, 1go.
Hyde hasn't turned his head all year to see a pass. How should he know? You folks pissed the game away. With your offense against our hideous D it should have been a blowout. Quit crying and move on. Kinnick is a tough place to play.

6. I'm not crying, Condem
Michigan didn't play well; the offense was out of sync all day. But there were two blown calls at the end, especially the touchdown. With the inability to get short yardage into the endzone, we may not have gotten the 2 point conversion, probably wouldn't have. But we should have had the opportunity to try.

Also, just pointing out to Mad that it wasn't ruled an incomplete pass.

8. Completing a pass out of bounds makes it incomplete.

9. I would've called a QB draw on the last play at :02
Before that, obviously, a run is out of the question -- but on the last play, you give it to your best guy, and for Michigan, that's clearly Robinson.

That call was even worse.
I have watched the replays and I do think it was a touchdown. But the pass interference was just as bad, if not a worse, call.

I just wish we'd been in a position where a touchdown at the last second wouldn't matter.

16. Bad calls on those last few plays, but...
you have to be better than needing 6 plus a 2-point conversion as time expires against Iowa at home.
Too many mistakes - Denard trying to brace himself with the football, the botched conversion.

The last play reminded me of the no-call when Michigan was ranked #1 against Michigan State and the Spartan defender tackled Desmond Howard on a 2-point conversion attempt well before the ball got there. You just can't have a game come down to a pass play like that. If it's that close the outcome is a down to what amounts to a coin toss anyway.
