where George Michael was infamously busted for solicitation ("cruisin'"). :eyes:

It looked like that $%^&%$^&#!! runner was running backwards on a treadmill like George Jetson. If he had the speed of a land tortoise, we might actually have a series instead of a travesty. And those bozos beat the Yankees?! :wtf:

6. One has to wonder why Cabrera wasn't pinch run for
Edited on Thu Oct-13-11 08:25 AM by Upton
this is the ALCS, you go for the win right there..I guess Leyland was returning the favor Washington did for him by intentionally walking Cabrera to begin with..

5. Tigers don't deserve to win this series..
Edited on Thu Oct-13-11 08:10 AM by Upton
They've had leads going into the later innings in games 2 & 4 and lost them both..and in the 8th inning last night they were unable to take advantage of a runner on third less than 2 out situation after Ron Washington had rather stupidly intentionally walked the winning run on base..

9. We'll let them know, Upton
That way, if they pull it off, they can gracefully decline. I mean, if you don't deserve it (and, according to you Detroit never deserves anything), you shouldn't play the series. Because that's how it works.

Hmmm.

12. Nice of you to misrepresent my post..
I never said the Tigers didn't belong in the ALCS. They earned it, but I think you'll agree they've blown several opportunities in the first 4 games to at least have this series tied if not have a 3-1 lead themselves..

However, since you wish to play games..here's something Detroit truly deserves.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/05/most-dangerous-cities-in-america_n_996639.html

13. What does that have to do with Detroit not deserving to win this series?
I mean, suppose the Tigers somehow overcome the injuries and win the next three games? Should they turn down the WS bids because of some blown opportunities? THAT is what you implied.

14. I know injuries have played a part..
My implication, you refer to, is based on the first 4 games. Now if by some chance the Tigers come back and win the series, they'll fully deserve it. Stop jumping to conclusions.

11. Another unparalleled achievement!
Nelson Cruz became the first player in major league history to hit a pair of extra-inning homers in the same postseason series. And he was the first to hit a walk-off grand slam.
