1. I watched Australia stomp the bejeezus out of the USA |
|
I understand just enough about rugby to know that the US isn't very good.

2. Yep, we aren't very good. |
|
Until there's a drive for varsity teams, we'll continue to suck.

Australia hasn't beaten the All Blacks won at Eden Park for 25 years v NZ's history of choking in World Cups. Should be a good game with the winner being odds on for the Cup.
France to beat Wales in the other semi this afternoon (0700 GMT)
Peace
ps for anyone watching make sure you see the start as the All Black haka is one of the great pre match spectacles in all of sport

I saw a video recently where there was a flash mob haka in downtown Auckland.

8. During the pool matches |

we often had opposing hakas as most, if not all, South Pacific nations had their own hakas. Fantastic to watch and often over shadowed the football (unfortunately) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eGCsEQ15L4Peace

in a pretty dour game. Wales had their captain sent off for a dangerous tackle and had to play the last 60 mins 1 man down. Wales also missed 4 penalty goals, a conversion and a couple of field goals.
Go the Wallabies

10. Was the red card necessary? |
|
I didn't see the match. But I've certainly read differing accounts.
Sorry for your loss. Again I say, Go the All Blacks! :-)

it was careless rather than malicious. 10 mins in the sin bin would have been more appropriate IMHO. This was the initial response from the commentators, but they changed their mind and agreed with the referee. It pretty much spoilt the game, but Wales to their credit almost won. If Wales had have been able to kick straight - like they usually do - they would have won.
As for the Wallabies, they had a shocker from the opening kick off being put out on the full. They were terrible in attack not scoring a try. Defence was pretty good but if you can't score points you won't win. NZ played very well and never really let Australia into the game Congratulations to the AB's and to NZ.
The final should be one sided with NZ winning in a canter. NZ deserve it after the year they have had (the country that is)
Peace
