What do you think? Some expert was saying Vick has so many INT because he's been throwing |
|
from the pocket and he's too short...he needs roll out and throw...essentially, his problems are play-calling, and not his, if I interpret this correctly (believe it was Chris Collingsworth)...whatta ya think...just an excuse, or have his bad throws been from the pocket?

1. He's the same height as Brees, and he does alright in the pocket. |
|
Vick has to deal with the double whammy of having a bad o-line and being a bad decision maker.

2. Good point...I tend to think Vick did well last year until defenses figured him |
|
out or adjusted to the way he played...and as you say, bad decisions and he didn't have to make any decisions for a while last year.
On top of that, all of the Eaglets are playing like they don't give a shit.

3. Most of his ints have been deflections. |
|
The pick six on sunday was all him but the other three were deflections. Hell, that last one was near impossible. Vick has been fine this year, even heroic. The defense, playcalling and O-line play has been the problem.

And one of those was a tip at the line. That's still on the QB. Really, it's usually a superbly timed play on the part of a rusher, and there is nothing you can do about a defender doing a great job.
But, the INT in the 2nd quarter wasn't a pick six and the DB who caught it was the only guy within 5 yards. Might be the receiver cut off a route, or ran the wrong one, but it wasn't tipped.
In Vick's defense, the fifth turnover had nothing to do with M. Vick. GAC
