I'm hoping for a Detroit-Milwaukee World Series |
|
Just to watch the national announcers' heads explode. They hate the middle of the country. Or appear to, at any rate. So do the networks.

1. It would be horrible ratings for Fox |
|
So I could go for that
Also, I really hope it's Detroit. Still love that team. Then maybe the list of best sports towns would be Detroit at #1

4. Who WOULDN'T want to watch it? |
|
The Great Lakes Showdown!
However, it will remind everyone in Seattle that the Brewers were snitched away from them.

That's hardly worth mentioning. And who cares about Seattle's fair-weather fans, anyway?

also Detroit-Philly, even if Philly is geographically on the East Coast.

the only upside to that would be that Perry and Brewer might make some sort of humiliating bet, like the loser has to run around in a chicken suit for a week.

See post 17, for starters. Texas as a part of the southwest is highly debatable at best.

I've always considered Michigan part of the Great Lakes, or North Central region - since when isn't Iowa part of the Midwest? It also completely ignores the Pacific Northwest!!!!

No geographic description quite indicates the crappy way which that part of the country has been "built."

20. And what's funny about that |
|
Is that a Detroit-Milwaukee Series may just be a tremendous series. Just think of it, Gallardo or Grienke vs. Verlander in game 1. The BIG bats of the Brewers in the Miller dome (which is sort of a crappy dome imo). Cabrera vs. Fielder in a sluggers duel, "Tony Plush", aka Nyjer Morgan in the national spotlight screaming "FUCK YEAH!" at the top of his lungs. I think that the yankee/redsox/phillies trinity will be missing out on a fine WS no matter which of the remaining four make it in. Pujols in the national spotlight? Wow. The rest of the USA could see that this guy is special. Same with Ryan Braun. We have some damn fine baseball here in the Midwest. Too bad the four letter network and fox don't realize that fact.
