Cleveland starter Josh Tomlin sets modern Major League record |
|
First pitcher to go at least five innings in each of his first 29 consecutive career appearances (Boston's Daisuke Matsuzaka previously held the record with 28). Not all those starts have been stellar, but last night's was -- Tomlin no-hit the Yankees through six innings to get the 6-3 win. C.C. Sabathia returns to Cleveland to face a red hot (4-1 , 0.98 ERA in last five starts) Carlos Carrasco.
