so how did your NBA team do on draft night? |
|
The Spurs traded away Popovich's beloved George Hill, but I think it was because we wouldn't be able to afford him once his rookie deal ran out. He should get big money somewhere and a starting slot.
We picked up a decent backup point we can groom, and there are lots of serviceable points out there for the mid level or something.
And it looks like we got a back up three, something we desperately need.
I'd have been happy had we traded Richard Jefferson. He had a great regular season, but ghosted in the playoffs.
Either way, not too much of a splash available as late as we always pick, but we got Parker at the end of the first and Ginobili at the end of the second, so stuff can still happen.
But I think Kawhi Leonard gives us a perimeter defender we've been lacking. Now, we just need Tiago Splitter to come along a bit faster. A lot faster.

1. It all depends if the Suns picked the right twin |

Suns have a history of going for the less talented brother. Such as Robin Lopez and Taylor Griffin. To be fair unlike those picks, they didn't have the opportunity to draft the other brother like in 2011. Hope it works out.
