America's League 10. The Backward League 4. |
|
50 to 34 so far. The best was the sweep of the Gnats by the Athletics!

The American League can win every game in interleague play, win the All Star Game for the next 80 years in a row and win the World Series every year from now until doomsday, and the DH will still be a dumbed down bastardization of baseball.

2. And the National League will be the boring excuse for baseball that it is. |
|
And also the worse league.

3. I'll take an NL game over AL any day |
|
Phillies, Nats or Reds all play very enjoyable baseball...And anyone who watches any of those teams wouldn't call them boring. But hey you can have the Skankees, and their fine excuse of paying for a team that underperforms every year.

5. If you really want to talk about overpaying for poor performance |
|
you don't even have to leave New York City. Hell, at least the Yankees make the playoffs almost every year.

4. I guess I respect the purity of National League baseball........ |
|
...... but as a guy from an AL city, I do find NL games boring. I hate seeing a pitcher come up and ruin a rally.

7. Is there anything better than watching your teams ace |
|
get pulled in the 8th while pitching a shutout because his team couldn't put one lousy run on the board, then have a career .270 hitter bat for him and the game decided by a pair of journeyman relievers?
Well, maybe watching a future first ballot HOF'er flail away like a drunk man with a wet noodle at the plate, as if he's never even seen baseball on TV before.
Yes, I understand the purity of baseball argument and all, and do enjoy the strategy of the game, but when it comes down to it, I really want to see the best players play, not the managers manage.
