10. That chick has been messed up for so long.... |

I think the drugs and booze will eventually get her.
Where's her prissy mother, anyway? (Can't remember her name)

12. The mother is Dina, the father is Michael |

For about five minutes they were each gung-ho on helping her turn her life around.
Look at Britney Spears' dad...he had legal conservatorship over her following the over-the-edge behavior that was front-page news almost daily. Where is she now? Making music and touring again. She'll probably never be the Britney Spears who made those early CDs again, but it's also doubtful that we'll be reading her premature obit.
Lindsay's a different story. She needs help and she's not getting it, and all the legal system is doing is providing her with opportunity after opportunity for her to thumb her nose at it and get high five minutes after the judge turns his/her back.

14. Help is Readily Available |

Lindsay's problem is obvious - she's an alcoholic. She needs to start making meetings.

16. Yes, it's available, but someone who doesn't admit they need it won't commit to it... |
|
...I'm not an alcoholic, but I know people in AA, and one of them let me borrow their "little blue book" one time. A basic tenet of the program, in my understanding...the starting point, really...is that before an alcoholic can fully commit to turning their life around, they have to hit bottom, and they have to acknowledge that they've done so.
Some people "hit bottom"...in their mind...several times before they really hit bottom.
So Lohan's co-dependent, nurturing "network"...from her family to the California justice system...just pats her on the head and gives her a cookie every time she has an "incident," and once the spotlight's off her, she goes out and steals a necklace or gets drunk or some other thing that puts her back in the spotlight and back in court, where she'll receive another teeny-weenie slap on her wrists and a grave and dire threat from the judge about what will happen to her if she screws up again, so she screws up again, ends up back in court, and the judge gives her another cookie.
Seriously..."House Arrest" in a Venice Beach condo? The only lesson that seemed to have taught her is that she can hit the clubs again the minute her "sentence" is up.

17. I think I remember them.... |
|
Her father just got out of jail for tax evasion or some shit and her mother is the attention whore trying to ride on her daughter's coattails, acting like she's still 20.
It doesn't sound like she's going to get much "help" from home.
Britney's turnaround surprised me, I thought I'd be reading her obit. I have to say, she must've had some decent people helping her out. She seems to have made a comeback.
As for Lindsay, hell....if I got in half as much trouble as her, I'd be locked up rotting in some jail forever.
