Has anyone at DU read the book "The Right Nation: Conservative Power in America"? I have read a little of the book and so far I think the authors are off by a bit. The results of the last two election seem to show that some of claims were wrong.

1. I haven't seen it, but probably would |

avoid it if I did see it. What I mean is, I would try a paragraph or 2 here or there in it. Many such books are not at all scholarly views of the world as it is, but in fact propaganda for the ... Conservative (as they see it) power in America, and what they think the right nation should be, not what it is. It becomes like preaching to the choir. And for me difficult for me to read a book where I begin to see a distinct bias by the author, on either side of the political spectrum, that ignores important facts. dc
