IN THE WOODS by Tana French SPOILERS |
|
I'm almost through listening to this on audiobook. I looked at reviews on Amazon.com and readers are saying that it was never revealed in the book what happened to Rob/Adam's friends Peter and Jamie.
If that's the case, I don't want to read any more. I feel cheated when writers pull stunts like this.

It's not a 'stunt' and the book is worth finishing, though you may not agree with the ending. Her second book - "The Likeness" - is superb, so don't give up on her just yet.

2. Well, I finished IN THE WOODS. I was disappointed that the author didn't |
|
tell you what happened in the woods 20 years ago--just like the readers' reviews said she didn't.
There was some good stuff in the book, but because of the way she didn't tell what happened to Ryan and his friends, I don't plan to read any more of her stuff.

3. I've felt that way about |
|
the Carrie Brown books I've read. One just seemed to stop. Period. Another left you with a couple of possibilities that could have taken place after the final page, but it just stopped, too. Very frustrating! But I kept reading her books because she's a very good author, except for the fact that she tends to ramble around a little too much for my taste.

5. Well, I've put in a request to the library for the last one of hers |
|
that I haven't read yet. Might as well finish 'em off. And like I said she is a very good writer. :hi:
