I for one would certainly welcome new (International) investigations |

into the events of 911. Why are many first responders dying from cancer's? What caused WTC #7 to come down? There are so many unanswered questions regarding 911, and a new independent investigation is needed IMO (and many others). To add: Why was a major crime scene compromised with no intervention by law enforcement?
I guess to add to this, I am not confident that these new investigations will happen, 10 years later.

1. No response so far, but I bet some are wanting to. 911 (10 years later) is bound to |
|
get legs. This horrible event is coming up in Canada big time as we near the 10 year anniversary. I doubt that the rest of the world can ignore it much longer.

So after ten years you are expecting this to 'get legs'.
That hope is based on what?

How will you ever get justice if you never come up with any evidence?

2. I would welcome a nice massage and some chocolate cake |
|
There are a number of things one might welcome. The question is, what effort is one putting into making them happen?
For example, you will find that the US government, or whoever, spends most of the deficit on keeping a lid on this sort of thing right here on DU!

3. I am aware of that, but other countries are not going to be so accomodating in the future... |
|
Many countries (in the real world) know what took place on 911, and sooner or later will spill the beans, and it looks like or neighbors to the north, may be the first.

4. if many countries "know what took place on 911," what exactly is the investigation for? |
|
This is one of those odd ambiguities in Truth Movement arguments: are you looking for answers to questions, or do you think everyone already knows the answers, at least the most important ones?
In this case, do you want an "investigation" in order to learn things, or mostly in order to get the perps (whoever you think they are) to confess, or to get someone to proclaim them guilty? Or do you not especially want an investigation at all, except as a rhetorical demand ("Who could possibly oppose an investigation?!").

6. The investigation will hopefully review many of the unanswered questions; |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-09-11 12:34 PM by teddy51
ie:
Why was a crime scene compromised Why was the steel from the WTC's shipped away before appropriate testing was done on it How did a building like WTC 7 happen to fall into itself Why are so many first responders suffering (and dying) from cancer, what was in the air at Ground 0 that caused this How exactly did a plane fly into the Pentagon the way the official story reads
on and on I could go.

7. you wrote: "Many countries (in the real world) know what took place on 911." |

What, if anything, did that mean?
All the questions you've mentioned have been considered at length, in one form or another.
(1) In what sense? Ground zero was in the first instance treated primarily as a rescue site -- which, frankly, doesn't seem hard to understand. Also, it seems to me that the "crime scene" was pretty well "compromised" by the time the towers finished collapsing.
(2) If you explain what you would consider "appropriate testing" and why, it may be possible to answer that question. I don't see how an international investigation would illuminate the issue.
(3) A detailed report, incorporating years of study, explains how WTC 7 collapsed. You're entitled to ignore it, but I don't see how your choice is a compelling basis for an international investigation.
(4) I think we know quite a bit about what was in the air at ground zero, and I don't see how we can learn much more a decade later, or how an international investigation would help.
(5) This might be the oddest question, since the flight data recorder gives us about as clear an understanding of "exactly" how the plane flew into the Pentagon as I can imagine.
Of course, you say, "Many countries (in the real world) know what took place." So I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that you have a hard time thinking of an unanswered question that is amenable to an international investigation.
The question remains: what do you think took place, and why?

8. Not by outside independant sources they haven't. We will wait to see |
|
if investigations will be launched from outside the US. There seems to be a growing amount of interest coming from Canada.

11. It's pointless asking questions with answers already know |
|
Actual scientists and engineers have already studied the WTC7 collapse in detail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFJa9WUy5QI&list=FLcCDUbqXhpWBTMiyKefTWXg&index=1This video has good footage of the burning WTC7 and news reports before the collapse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7rj5UQvlWw&feature=autoplay&list=FLcCDUbqXhpWBTMiyKefTWXg&playnext=1Large chunks of the North Tower hit WTC7, setting it on fire. This large and uncontrolled fire caused it to collapse in about seven hours. There's no mystery there.

15. Yes, fall in the direction of gravity |
|
And against a neighboring building as it neared the ground, causing severe damage. Physics is amazing.
Where else is it going to fall? WTC7 had the whole earth under it pulling it in the direction of gravity. There weren't strong enough forces pulling it in any other direction. Large buildings don't collapse like dominoes.
There are large internal forces inside large buildings, and if internal structures fail, the build is going down in the direction of gravity - similar to a house of cards, Much greater masses (and inertia) and far greater distances involved cause large building to have far less relative horizontal movement when they collapse.
Also, if it were a controlled demolition it wouldn't have damaged the neighboring building across the street.
