TEWKSBURY, Mass. -- The classrooms were cleared out at Wynn Middle School in Tewksbury following a bomb threat.
A menacing note was found in one of the bathrooms at the school.
"'I'v got a bomb' was exactly what it said, and the 'I'v' was spelled without an 'e' on the end of it.
Down at the bottom of the note, it said 'JFK,'" said Deputy Chief Tim Sheehan, Tewksbury Police Department.
Authorities are still unsure of the meaning behind "JKF."Alright, WHDH... what is it? JFK or JKF?
The school went into lockdown mode just after 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon. After initiating a "code yellow," officials then announced moments later over the public address system that a "code red" was in full effect, according to students.

After a thorough exam, it was determined to be activated and was found to be a chemically reactive device. The device was than taken away for further testing, where it was later determined to be just a battery.
