Sir Barton Way was shut down for two hours Friday after a suspicious package was found outside a bank.
Two robots with cameras from the Lexington police's hazardous devices unit investigated the package, in the drive-through area of Branch Banking & Trust Co., 2489 Sir Barton Way, police Lt. Mario Russo said.
The package turned out to be testing equipment unintentionally left by a company working on the bank's lighting, he said.
The road was reopen to traffic before noon.
