Does anyone else feel sick when they look at George Bush? |
|
From the moment I laid eyes on him back in 2000, I just felt sick to my stomach. That smug smile and those soul-less eyes make me feel like I am looking at a true sociopath. I've thought plenty of politicians were assholes before, but I've never felt such visceral disgust for another human being in my life. Of course, now I feel similarly about Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, and Ashcroft. But Bush was the first person for which I ever experienced that emotion upon first sight. It made it very difficult for me to watch F9/11 even though I knew I needed to see the movie, but all of their faces on the big screen made me ill. Do other people feel that way?

I thought maybe it was just me.
I'm glad to hear someone else admit to experiencing the same sort of disgust I have felt whenever I see him.......it is entirely involuntary in my case, but I get a deep sense of revulsion upon seeing his souless, sharklike eyes......he just seems to be utterly cold and reptilian to me.........
Scary.

"Disgust" is the perfect word for what I feel when I watch conservatives making speeches, hear them making speeches, read letters to the editor or op-ed columns in the newspaper or in magazines.... I don't know how any Democrat could stand to watch the entire Republican National Convention! But I see Bush's blank stare as not sharklike or reptilian, but...blank. He always looks really dopey or really smug, and ugh! :puke: either way, it's even worse when he "smiles"! (He never genuinely smiles when he's making his speech; it's SO fake.) Please, make it stop! Go Kerry and Edwards!

and it makes you want to hurl.
From what you wrote, I think you've been suffering from Bushlemia for several years:
"From the moment I laid eyes on him back in 2000, I just felt sick to my stomach. "
I wish I could say take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning, but it will take more than that. The only sure cure is a Democratic victory Nov. 2.
Let's hope relief is on the way!

Bush has these same feelings about the president of North Korea that we have about him.
Hope you can keep your blood pressure under control. In Oct.2002, right after the vote for Iraq war, I landed in the emergency room with my pressure off the charts....
There was an article at that time saying how many more people were suffering from high blood pressure.....numbers had risen dramatically. Wish I had saved it or had a link, but I don't..

6. Yes, seriously. I cannot gaze upon that hideous face |
|
for more than 5 seconds before I feel the need to hurl. I really feel sullied by a mere glimpse of him or even the sound of his voice.

8. I suffer from generalized Chimp anxiety disorder |
|
its in the DSM, I think its DSM 4.666.0 I have an uncontrollable urge to mute the volume and turn off video images when ever I hear a Chimp squeak on national news media.
My understanding is there is no treatment for it.

9. His treatment of the wounded veterans really fires me up! |
|
I received this today from the mailing list of my veterans group, Veterans for Peace (www.veteransforpeace.org).
Fact: The Bush administration charged wounded soldiers arriving at Fort Stewart Georgia from Iraq $8 per day for food.
Fact: The Bush administration is making more than two hundred thousand veterans wait more than six months for their initial visit to VA medical facilities. Some are waiting two years.
Fact: The Bush administration reduced the number of veterans waiting for health care by making 500,000 of them ineligible.
Fact: The Bush administration recently announced eleven VA hospital closings or partial closings.
Fact: The Bush administration has proposed cutting health care benefits for 160,000 middle-income veterans.
Fact: George Bush opposed legislation which would allow disabled veterans to receive disability payments in addition to retirement benefits.
Fact: George Bush said he would veto $87 billion in supplemental funding for body armor, ammunition, and supplies for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq unless Congress cut $1.3 billion in veteran's benefits from the bill. They did.
Fact: George Bush's 2004 budget is $1.5 to $2.6 billion short of what is needed to fully fund veteran's benefits according to various budget reviews, and he wants to cut almost another $1 billion in 2006 according to a secret memo sent out to the affected agencies.
Fact: George Bush tried to cut hazardous duty pay for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and tried to cut the monthly separation allowance for their families.
Fact: George Bush's 2004 budget proposed a $1.5 billion cut to military family housing and medical facilities, and a $174 million cut in funding for schools near military bases .
Fact: George Bush opposed giving National Guard and Reserve members access to the Pentagon's health-insurance system despite a recent GAO report which estimated that one of every five Guard members has no health insurance.
