As If We Needed More Proof RNC Is Scum

I frequently visit GOP.org - I have a strong stomach and I like to know what the other side is thinking. Well today, I saw this headline: "Edwards Voices Support For Cloning" So I'm like, okay, I'll bite. According to the RNC, Edwards was backing Kerry who is "co-sponsoring a Senate bill that would legalize cloning in a piece of legislation that has a hugely misleading title"

Now here they actually have a link to thomas.gov with a summary of the bill (titled "A bill to prohibit human cloning and protect stem cell research.") So, we might be inclined to think this was just another Republican distortion. Now, who, you ask is sponsoring this bill? What wild liberal? None other than.........................
Orin Hatch.

Yes, Orin Hatch. Republican Senator from Utah. And we all know Senator Hatch is not a RINO by any stretch or one of those cool Republicans like Olympia Snowe. No, Orin Hatch consistently receives 100% approval ratings from the National Right to Life Committee.

So, I must ask, is the RNC going to condemn Orin Hatch for stating his belief that life begins at conception and then co-sponsoring this bill? Or is it okay for one of their own to "flip flop" but not okay for a Democrat? Maybe it's okay only if that Democrat is Zell Miller (another co-sponsor.) Or do you think I should give the RNC the benefit of the doubt? Perhaps they just didn't bother reading their own link so they don't realize that Orin Hatch sponsored and Arlen Specter is co-sponsoring.
