Tonight's (Sunday 6-6-10) CBS Evening News and BP

So I am watching them cover the oil disaster and the anchor states that $48 million has been paid to 18,000 individuals so far by BP.
Sounds like a lot eh?

Well...they didn't finish the equation.
Why?
Why didn't they report what those numbers really mean?

Then they proceeded with a story about the "trustworthiness" of BP. As if they are.
What a worthless news organization. Adding to the confusion and backing the corporate bottom-line.

OBTW: That equals to $2,666 each. Whoppee dee doo!!! :sarcasm:

so...that "huge" amount was about 1/2 of one day's profit..
