I dont like the equivocation of what KO does and what Bill O does at all. The NYTimes really pisses me off sometimes. Is this what they learned from their Iraq War coverage?

KO does not equal BO. There was 10+ years of RW radio and News Corp print turning this country to the right, and KO has a little show less than an hour on cable news. There is no way those scales balance.

I hope KO walks. Fuck TV News. Let them turn that wheel as far as they fucking want to.

1. To me the difference is a commentator who researches the stories

to make sure they are true (KO) and one who doesn't care about truth (O'R). That is a big consideration when it comes to listening to news.

4. Keith won't walk.

He couldn't possibly risk doing that, after having already done that to MSNBC years ago; he'd never work again.

Secondly, going by what he's said in interviews, he's smart enough to realize that sometimes you have to lose battles, in order to win the war. He's THE most prominent voice for the left, and he's not going to sacrifice all that over Billo The Clown.

Keith's in a position to keep telling the truth about all these other wingnuts, and he knows it. With the way Beck is gaining ground, Billo may one day be irrelevant, anyway.

That said, this doesn't make me any less pissed at Immelt and MSNBC for agreeing to this "truce".

12. The equation is popular by lazy Dutch "experts", too. They parrot the NYT...

And they only cite examples from Olbermann's very brief 'Worst persons'-segment, leaving out everything else, including his famous 'Special comments'. They like to pretend that "the left is doing it, too".
