C-Span frames Healthcare debate on Washington Journal This morning like this: |
|
"What would YOU change about your healthcare"?...
The question implies that everyone will have to "change" their healthcare plan. Since President Obama has repeatedly stated that "if you like the health insurance you have, fine, you can keep it", the question seems DESIGNED to play into those "socialism" fears.
I've been trying to call in and "call" them on it, but I've not been able to get through.

1. I see that as a question meant to raise a discussion around |
|
the things we don't like about our current healthcare.

2. I may be wrong, but I disagree. If they wanted to have a general discussion, |
|
I believe they would not have framed the question so narrowly. I believe they would have asked something like "What do you think is wrong with our healthcare systerm"...As it was, the question leaves out the many who do not even have health insurance.
