And the near total commercialization with ads like the one referred to is one of the main reasons why.
Then there is the usual 'America Rules' because 'we' are winning most of the medals crap.
If it were about individual or team athletic competition it would be okay ... but that is simply NOT what the Olympics is about.
Big reform in the Olympic idea is way over due -- now it's just another corporate/nationalist media entertainment mega-extravaganza.
