Who is Sam Seder and why should I help him get a 'daily show'? |
I don't own a radio, anymore!

2. Sam should quit AAR while he has the chance |
I'd love for him to have a daily show, but not on DLC radio inc.

9. I'll take him wherever I can get him ... |
... but I expect he will finally give-up on AAR if they don't give him a daily show very soon. He's been a real trooper up until now.

3. You don't own a radio? A tv, I could see, but no radio? |
Anyway, Sam's one of the good guys (few "good guys") left at Air America Radio and one of the rare ones to make the transfer to radio from stand-up comedy without getting "zapped" in the process. He's smart, articulate, well read, and pleasant to listen to (not one of those "angy types" that increasingly permeate progressive radio, though less so than on the "right.")

7. Perhaps you mean that you are hearing impaired.... |

Obviously that would explain not having a radio.... I certainly am not trying to be rude in anyway, Bobbieo, but neither can we read your mind re: what is not expressed in your posts.... Why so cryptic?

4. You can listen on the computer. |
You can go to airamericaradio.com and listen to the live stream of all their shows. That is of course when the stream is working.
I often listen to the radio on the computer while I am typing post on Democratic Underground. My favorite thing to listen to is "The Coffee House" on Sirius. I can get Sirius on the computer because my car came with it.

Dear Air America Executives,
The departure of Randi Rhodes has left a major gap in programming that can only be filled by one voice. Sam Seder combines humor and wit with in-depth new analysis, and his vital voice in progressive radio deserves a prominent spot in your daily lineup. Please give Seder the chance to reach his devoted listeners on a daily basis. 8. Then you should do it for those who *do* have radios ... |
... but no internet connections. Seder is a fantastic radio host on Air America Radio (AAR), who has done great work in bridging the gap between old media (radio) and new media (Internet & netroots), but who was knee-capped by new management at AAR a while back under suspicious circumstances. He had a weekday, M-F, radio program but was shifted to just Sunday afternoons, after what had been a highly successful collaboration with the netroots in challenging the candidacy of Joe Lieberman in CT.

10. He is a political satirist kind of like Al Franken. |
He has also done some voices for a few Cartoon Network Adult Swim cartoon shows (i.e. Home Movies, Lucy: Daughter of the Devil). He also co-wrote a fiendishly clever book in 2006 skewering right-wingers/Republicans/George W. Bush called "Fubar: Inside America's Right-Wing Nightmare". Check it out (or better yet get the audiobook edition). It is simply hilarious!!! If you still don't know why you should help him get his own show after reading/listening to this book then I don't know what else to say.
