Any other Mike Malloy fans here? Why was he fired by Air America?

Thank god for Nova Radio, as I can stream Mike Malloy's show every night...He was the best thing on Air America- i loved how he used to read parts of 1984...
I've never been able to discover why Air America fired him- my theory was that Mike pissed off a lot of right wingers, and somehow they had his program pulled- Does anyone know the details?

When Air america dropped Mike, they lost me as a listener.
So I followed Mike's show over on Nova radio....

I'm curious, how did Mike offend liberal listeners? He got emotional at times, but his anger is somthing I could realte to, as could many of his listeners-as Bush has been systamatically shredding the Constitution and waging pointless war....

I really enjoyed it when he read chapters from 1984 on the air- which I think happened shortly before he was fired..

4. Although Mike is no longer with Air America,

His show is carried on some radio stations that also have Air America (and Jones) programming, and he's also on XM's Air America channel (and Sirius).

As for his firing, it was likely he was let go simply because Air America couldn't afford him anymore (even though he was the lowest paid host on the lineup). Remember, this was done a few months before their bankruptcy.

6. Actually I think..

..he was critical of some policy of Israel. Mike gives no one a pass...calls them as he sees them.

I don't always agree with Mike, but hey, this is America.

Glad I can still catch him on XM.

some speculated that it had something to do with it, but I think he himself said it wasn't the case.

10. I love Mike Malloy

He is the absolute best. I assumed he was let go by Air America because of their financial problems, which I think was a very short-sighted move. I am now a Nova Radio fan.
