"Obviously a democratic senator would be appointed". She said this in conjunction with the forthcoming McCain meeting with Obama and speculating on the possibility of McCain being offered a position in the administration (and taking it).
It was about to fly over my head when what she said got my attention. Given the current situation what would be given, or offered, to make this happen. A simple cost benefit analysis says offer much.
It could be foretelling a big news story. Maybe, depending on what is offered, and that could or should be something that he can't refuse?
Maverick? Prove it! Make my day!

1. Would Obama offer McCain a job just to turn that senate seat blue? |

3. Interesting. What position would he be offered, did she say? |

The thought of offering a cabinet position to whom could be one of the most adversarial senators for President Obama has given me an idea: offer each Republic in the House & Senate -- whose state has a Democratic governor -- a job in Homeland Security. Then give each of them a lawnchair & a gun (making the NRA happy, too) to patrol all shorelines for terrorists.
