Previous psychological studies have found that conservatives tend to be more structured and persistent in their judgments whereas liberals are more open to new experiences. The latest study found those traits are not confined to political situations but also influence everyday decisions.

The results show "there are two cognitive styles -- a liberal style and a conservative style," said UCLA neurologist Dr. Marco Iacoboni, who was not connected to the latest research.

In campaigns this could be very helpful. I think one of the reasons Obama has been so successful at reaching over is that he is VERY consistent in message. He repeats...alot. This is what gets through to some people. bush knew it.

I get attacked as an intellectualist, elite, etc. who is using biased studies done by elitist, intellectualist, liberal professors.

To test if voting machines in your district have not been tampered with vote straight republican accept for President --> choose Obama. Then on confirmation screen check to see if Obama has been mysteriously(magically) changed to McCain. It's a basic software check/trick that tampered machines will display. (* On confirmation screen you can change back your selections to democratic candidates)
