I will NOT engage in the kinds of divisive postings that have become so prevalent at DU.
I will refer to Senator Clinton as just that, Senator Clinton, in my posts.
I will not engage in personal attacks against Senator Clinton's supporters.
I will endeavor to keep my posts civil and respectful.
I will not respond in kind to any posts that I feel are inappropriate, nasty, divisive or mean-spirited. If I find a post or reply objectionable, I will simply note that in my reply and move on. If a specific post seems especially egregious, I will alert the DU administrators.
I will strive to be thoughtful and factual in my postings. If I am stating my opinion, I will do so respectfully and will clearly note that it is, in fact, my opinion.
I will not engage in personal attacks, name-calling, or use foul language in my posts.
I vow the read a post in it's entirety - not just the subject line - before I reply.
---------------------------------------
My personal opinion is that, barring some cataclysmic event, Senator Obama has already secured the Democratic nomination. It's time for us to unite and focus together on the primary objective: defeating John McCain in the GE.
Both strategically and ethically, it's the right thing to do.
Anyone care to join me? Or maybe recommend?

3. You lost me on the foul language |

because it's called for when describing the present government.
As for the rest, I'm already trying to do it. I don't always succeed, but hey, I'm human.
You might add two more to your pledge: "I vow to use 'alert' instead of engaging in 'gotcha' posts with an obvious troll," and "I vow to read the whole post instead of just the subject line before I reply."

Except the foul language piece. I just think it's inherently disrespectful and generally not conducive to a positive dialogue. Just my opinion.

I do, however, refer to Senator Clinton as Hillary quite often (I'm not known for mean-spirited posts). It's only my opinion, but I think she, in fact, thinks it's okay, and that it maybe helps her seem "familiar" as a candidate.
Otherwise, I salute you!
