1. God, people are so brainwashed with consumerism.

Our local ABC affiliate this morning had a "lifestyle" segment during the morning newscast with a "stylist" contributing home decor tips for "the holidays."

One of her tips -- go out and buy all red items for your kitchen, just for December -- she had a red toaster, a set of red pots and pans, etc.

Yeah, we really need to have an entire second set of kitchenware for the holidays.

I guess that means we need pastel kitchenware for Easter, red/white/blue for July, and harvest colors for Thanksgiving.

Spare me.

you can combine Halloween and Thanksgiving colors!
