How does your family celebrate the birth of the 8 pound 6 ounce baby Pilgrim?

We get a bird and cook it. Mind you the bird isn't really a bird at that point - that would make for a lot of noise and fuss in the oven I suspect. Then we watch football. The next day some people go get things and I typically am appointed to put this big Pagan symbol tree thing up in the living room. It's a fake tree...we are tolerant that way you know.

1. I usually go and make myself a fine, tasty Swanson TV Dinner. (with the 1 inch choc cake).

2. Hubby forces me to cook pecan pie and drags me to his family get together

Where I usually have a pretty good time. I just hate the idea of going over. But then I hate the idea of going any where even if I do have fun once I am there.

3. I bake a couple of cobblers.

One blackberry and one apricot-raspberry. Then I head over to my brother's house, meet up with a bunch of old friends and we eat. Then I come home, play with the dogs and give them extra treats before passing out.
