Parents of 'Adolf Hitler' Lose Custody of Newborn

Heath and Deborah Campbell, the New Jersey parents of three children with Nazi-inspired names, lost custody of their fourth child 17 hours after he was born, the Express-Times of Lehigh Valley, Pa., reported.

Hons Campbell was taken into custody by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services late Thursday night after the doctor who delivered the baby called the agency, the paper reported.

“There’s no legal binding court order. It’s basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms,” Heath Campbell told the Express-Times.

The Campbell family stepped into the spotlight in December 2008 when a ShopRite grovery store declined to decorate a birthday cake for their son Adolf Hitler Campbell’s third birthday.

The only downside is that now no one at my office gets to win the pool on what the 4th kid's name will be. I have $5 on Wagner Von Ribbentrop Campbell, but now we'll never know.

and there was domestic violence between mom and dad, and a court found that as sufficient evidence to take away the kids.

but naming your kid Adolf Hitler tends to suggest to Child Protective Services that maybe you're fucked in the head, and as it turns out the Campbells really were.

I agree, a name like Adolf Hitler,would get the Child protective services a heads up, that might not everything was the best home.. And in this case it looks like the parents is not up to the task of caring for children at all.. To the damage of the child I would say too.. I know about it, as my own parents was not able to care for either me and my brother - and we both ended up with some form of disability that have hampered our posibilites for most of our life.. Maybe in a 1000 years time, then names like Adolf Hitler are not known as bad as it is today - Atilla made a combeack in Europe, ca 900 year after Atilla the Hun was messing around with the late Western Empire... And Atilla the Hun was absolutely a damaging force for the population of the late roman empire...

I just hope the children who was taken out of the Campell family can get the help they need - and posible aslo new names who are less damaing to them, than Adolf Hitler.. All children deserve to get a fair chance in life, and if posible also a shange of name. You seldom get a fair chance with a name like that...

Either way, once the kid has a name, they'll have to convince a judge to let them change it. I don't see any SS names in the kids future if that happens.
