to live in the STATE which they represent. It does not require Congresspeople to live in the District they represent. But it doesn't define what it means to "live in" a State or a district. My state, Colorado, does not have qualifying legislation, instead relying on common sense and/or adjudication if necessary (so far, it hasn't been.) That's why Boebert was able to change districts. I would assume that New York has passed legislation requiring Representatives to live in their district. I have lived in states where that is the case - I think North Carolina is one. But obviously not all of them have.

And it's explicit in either the OP or the source or another comment that Alabama defines living in the state as living in the state for one day. Which explains Mr. Potatohead.
