UK apartment and turned over to the FBI in 2001. It was "stashed away for more than a decade until Danny Gonzales in 2012 got a phone call out of the blue from an FBIK evidence technician" that they had boxes with Al-Bayoumi's name on it sitting in a warehouse in Washington, D.C. and they were going to relocate the boxes or destroy them. He asked if Gonzales would like them. Gonzales is
a retired special FBI agent who was one of the lead investigators of the attack, and is now a consultant for the families of the victims who are suing the Saudi Arabian government, and he said he wanted the boxes. No one investigating the attack had ever heard of the evidence in the boxes.
