Trump University was a scam for which he had to repay people millions of dollars. He created a fake charity from which he used funds to pay his political expenses as well as to pay a golf prize someone won at his golf course for a hole in one. He also used money from the character to buy life size portraits of himself which he was forced to resell. The state of New York prohibited Trump from being involved in any charity for at least ten years.
