Overall, neighborhoods becoming nicer, but more expensive, cannot possibly 'benefit' every single person in that neighborhood, particularly not long-time renters.

But ultimately, overall, it's better for a city to have more of it's land and homes be higher priced, with nicer accommodations, etc. Having higher-end neighborhoods (and preferably lots of them) has all kinds of knock-on values for the community as a whole.

SOME people are going to 'lose out' in this situation, though, to be sure. Which is unfortunate in many cases.

However, that's life in the big city.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
