as well as intelligence and accomplishments drive them to irrational anger and hatred. If she was closer to average they might have been less venomous, but a high achieving Black woman who is so totally comfortable in her on skin is going to provoke the vilest racism.

I am not sure that I agree that it has fallen apart. They couldn't break her, but they still hate her.
