he was kidding because when we were younger he had long hair and we smoked dope and listened to the Dead, and so on.

But something bad happened.

His wife assured me the reason we have so much trouble with "our Blacks" is when they were brought over on slave ships, the ships stopped at other ports and sold slaves, the better slaves, before they got to America and we were left with the worst of the lot.
