I myself prefer quick buzzcuts because I like low maintenance hair so I just do it myself, but for more complex jobs if you have a significant other or anyone else you just need some scissors and one of those cheap Conair kits and it is much cheaper.

Around here barbers still allow smoking and it's smokier than a bar in there. Been over a decade since I went to one.
