(17,851 posts)Great thread, ronny. I noticed a change overnight in hostility here after Sanders announced almost a year ago. You are so correct in your rant. Not sure about the other primaries here, though, but I'll say I've never seen anything this childish in other primaries. The last one this intense for me was Gore/Bradley, and I just adored Gore so I was really into that one. I never really took Dean that seriously, but saw the manic following and figured it would fade out. Nader just downright pissed me off, and that's the same for Bernie.
I didn't know a lot about Bernie and thought I could learn something here. Instead I've been called the most petty and childish names -- for no reason. I just think of these people calling my mother the same names because she's a Clinton supporter, and it puts it into perspective how much damage they have done to themselves with their unnecessary hostile stance towards other Democrats.
I knew it was a lot of phoniness after they switched from Warren and glommed onto Bernie here. Plus, virtually nothing about Clinton is taken in any context of the political realities of the time or the realities of the situation at hand, so it's all easily dismissed as grandstanding just to be contrary.
You're right all the way. If Hillary pulled any of these gimmicks that Sanders is doing, well......
