In reply to the discussion: "Only Hillary can stop Bernie Sanders from being US President, says Michael Moore" [View all]Avalon Sparks
(2,733 posts)43. Well if you feel that way don't send him any money
I've analyzed the numbers myself, there's a chance neither will have the min number of delegates to clinch the deal.
The convention is over three months away, a lot can happen between now and then.
The other states should absolutely have their say.
Futhermore Bernie isn't telling his supporters he can win. He's telling us WE can win if we get the vote out. Considering how far we've come in the last 3 months, it seems the message is being heard rather clearly.

OP
Actually, the pledged delegate count is stopping Bernie from getting anywhere near the Presidency.

Exactly. It's telling that none of his Senate colleagues have endorsed him. Compare this with 2008

Given the state of washington, and Hillary as opponent, I neither want nor expect Senate endorsement

Bernie has been in Congress for 1/4 century and has no allies in the Senate?

Agreed. And Bernie now says he doesn't expect to get his agenda through in a first term.

I think the PTB hoped Trump's neofascism would actually make corporatism seem appealing

I thought Bernie was supposed to drive turnout to historic levels in the primaries

Are you misinformed or deliberately misleading? New Hampshire was a primary, Oklahoma was a primary,
