3. Be careful

They can surprise you. I’ve been through a lot of them. A major one we were able to sit out on the front porch and watch due to the orientation of storm. Others that shook the house and we were in the bathtub with the kids and a mattress over us.

The last major storm we had no problems until a day after the storm. Two trees had been shaken so much the ground liquified and evidently broken some roots. The storm winds were past and it was calm then they fell.

If you have trees outside make sure you look for broken limbs overhead and bulges in the ground around the trees.
