...about which I think involve elevated temperatures and heat exchange.

PVC poses some problems in closed carbon cycles, owing to HCl.

I have mixed feelings about polymers, but there is one undeniable fact. Under the right conditions and carbon source, the sequester carbon in an economically viable way.
