But it just didn't ring true to me, mostly because of the acting, so I did a little research and found out that it is fiction along the lines of "Blair Witch Project".
Ahh so it says in the link you provided.
It occurred to me while I was watching it that the premise was somewhat plausible and I was a little disappointed to discover it was not true.
