12. A truly evolved religion does away with deities altogether.

It recognizes that all ideas are formed by humans and that it is only necessary to learn which ideas promote advancement and peace. Buddhism is well along that path, although it is still stuck on the whole eschatology thing. Once it accepts the one-pass concept of life, it will have reached truth. All is encompassed by one existence. The success of that existence depends on the individual's understanding.

Reductio ad simplicitas is the key.
