Those opening 15 minutes where Bayern were playing with 3 at the back were pretty strange, but apparently it was a calculated risk to try to score a quick opener before Barca had settled in. Odd strategy, but you can see the thinking behind it.

At the time of Messi's first goal, Bayern had things pretty well under control, I thought.

Messi's moments of individual brilliance were the difference. I also think that had Robben been playing, Bayern would have picked up a crucial away goal.

As much as I don't like the man, I don't think Pep was really responsible for the loss. I see from the headlines that several pundits disagree with me on that.
