Giants traded for prospects -- a huge need.

Guardians apparently didn't make any trades, but they are making moves:

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Struggling Guardians outfielder Franmil Reyes was spotted clearing out his locker in the Cleveland clubhouse following Monday’s 6-5 win against Arizona at Progressive Field. The 27-year-old slugger is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Columbus prior to Tuesday’s game.

Rookie right fielder Oscar Gonzalez, on the injured list with an abdominal strain since June 30, could be activated to take Reyes’ spot on the 26-man roster. No moves were officially announced by the club postgame, but Reyes politely declined to speak to reporters after several emotional exchanges, which included hugging and shaking hands with coaches and teammates near his locker.

But Reyes was batting .182 over his last 15 games and had five games with at least four strikeouts.
