If Bieber can return before the trade deadline and have a good showing, a trade is always possible. Even Bieber's.

He's a FA next year. According to baseball-reference.com, there's a $16 million option for 2026, which is pretty good money, but if I were Bieber I'd want a few years with some guaranteed money added to that. With no salary cap, a large market team can afford the gamble. Mets, Dodgers, Houston. I believe the Yankees had coveted him before the surgery.

It would be a bitter pill to swallow -- another Cy Young winner gone. At least in a trade Cleveland would get something in return.
